Good all around!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I was very happy with the masterclass last night. I take it as a "given" that the performances would be generally very good, and they were with just a few glitches here and there - fixing those glitches is why we have a school!

That said, what I was most impressed with was how good and accurate the student comments were. I see that as a sign of intelligent and thinking musicians; exactly what I believe the the focus of this department is and should be. Articulating one's thoughts about music can be challenging and I thought you all did a very good and honest job of that, making it a very positive evening for all.
